About Me
I received the Laurea degree cum laude in Computer Science from the University of Bologna (Italy) in July 2008 with topic Machine learning/Image Analysis, title "Relevance Vector Machine in Computer-Aided Detection" and supervised by Professor Campanini Renato. In January 2009 I started my Ph.D. studies at Department of Computer Science, University of Bologna with research topic "Fingerprint Recognition: enhancement, feature extraction and automatic evaluation of fingerprint algorithms" (supervised by Prof. Davide Maltoni, Prof. Dario Maio and Prof. Luciano Margara). From February 2011 to June 2011 I visited the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Michigan State University (MSU), under the supervision of University Distinguished Professor Anil K. Jain (PRIP lab).

- ICB 2012 5th IAPR/IEEE International Conference on Biometrics (ICB 2012). March 29 - April 1, 2012, New Delhi, India.
- IJCB 2011 The International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 11) is a special combination of two major biometrics research conference traditions, the International Conference on Biometrics (ICB) and the Biometrics Theory, Application and Systems (BTAS) conference. It will be held in the Washington DC area (US), 11-13 October 2011.
- FVC-onGoing is a web-based automated evaluation system for fingerprint recognition algorithms.
Tests are carried out on a set of sequestered datasets and results are reported on-line by using well known performance indicators and
metrics.
