Abstract:

We address the problem of distributing a parallel simulator based on the Local Time Warp approach across loosely coupled domains, like the Internet. We propose a mechanism to cope with problems which may arise because of unpredictable delays in communication between clusters which compose the simulator. The proposed scheme is completely distributed and is able to globally tune the entire simulation so as to minimize the waste in computational resources due to rollbacks and not to overflow the resource availability of different simulation sites.
