Macondo: Mobile Agents and COordinatioN for Distributed applicatiOns

Macondo is a platform for distributed Java applications based on mobile agents and coordination.
Using mobile agents you can develop applications which can migrate to other hosts in a distributed system, for instance to solve bandwidth and latency problems.
Coordination support in Macondo is based on MJada, an extension of Jada, a coordination kernel for Java.

Macondo has been developed by A. Giovannini as part of his Tesi di Laurea.
The version you can download here has been tested on Sun machines under Solaris. It has been developed using Java 1.1.3.
