Sad announcement

Nadia Busi passed away, unexpectedly, on September 5, after a brief illness. Nadia was an associate professor of computer science at our department.

Nadia studied first in Bologna (Master in Computer Science in 1993), then in Siena (PhD in Logic and Theoretical Computer Science in 1997). In 1998 her PhD thesis was awarded with the annual EATCS (Italian Chapter) prize for the best Italian PhD thesis. In 1997 she was appointed assistant professor at our department, and in 2001 she became associate professor.

Nadia contributed with original results to the area of Models and Languages for Concurrent Programming, Coordination, and Systems Biology.

Nadia is buried in the cemetary of Medicina (BO).
